Trail from Horsham to Worthing led by Roger utilising the 23 bus.

| 04/04/2025 (Fri) | 23 stage 1: Horsham to A24/A272 | Travel: Sutton Station at 10:05 for the 10:13 Horsham train. Our walk starts from Horsham Station at 11:02 (other travellers await arrival of the train) and finishes at Buckbarn Crossroads Bus Stop. Walk south through Horsham Park then central Horsham (some old buildings). Ascend through Denne Park to Southwater where we lunch probably at The Paxton Arms. Use the Downs Link Trail, then across fields to the 23 bus stop. Text me book by Monday 6pm. 7 miles Moderate Linear. |
| 23/05/2025 (Fri) | 23 stage 2: A24/A272 to Ashington | Travel: Sutton Station at 10:05 for the 10:13 Horsham train, arrives 11:02. Catch the 23 bus outside the station at 11:08 through Horsham to the start point Buckbarn Crossroads Bus Stop. Return by bus 23 from Ashington Red Lion Bus Stop to Horsham Station. Walk details Pub tba, probably at Dial Post. Text me to book by Monday 6pm. 7 miles Moderate Linear. |
| 06/06/2025 (Fri) | 23 stage 3: Ashington to Findon Place | Travel: Sutton Station at 10:05 for the 10:13 Horsham train, arrives 11:02 . Catch the 23 bus outside the station at 11:08 to Ashington, Red Lion Bus Stop. Our walk starts from Ashington, Red Lion Bus Stop at 11:41 and finishes at Findon Place Bus Stop for the 23 bus back to Horsham (late return to Sutton). Catch the 23 bus outside the station at 11:08. A challenging walk with an ascent to Chanctonbury Ring from the pub lunch at The Frankland Arms at Washington! Text me to book by Monday 6pm. 8 miles Moderate Linear. |
| 04/07/2025 (Fri) | 23 stage 4: Findon Place to Worthing | Travel: East Croydon Station at 09:50 for the 10:04 Littlehampton train, alight Worthing arrive 11:07. Then walk to Lennox Road Bus Stop for the 23 Bus at 11:32 towards Crawley Bus Station and alight at Findon Place Bus Stop (11:46). Our walk starts from Findon Place bus stop at 11:46 and finishes at Worthing Station. Walk through Findon, then ascend Cissbury Ring for short picnic stop. Continue towards the coast through the Hill Brow golf course to Broadwater where we may have a pub stop (tba) before proceeding back to Worthing Station. Book in advance (text only) by Monday 6pm for a share in a Daysave ticket for £12.50 each in groups of 4, first come first served. 7 miles Moderate Linear. |
